Pharmacological Effects - Therapeutic Applications | The aboveground plant part is used in folk medicine as healing, soothing, relaxing, diuretic and diaphoretic. Nowadays the medicinal use of the plant is limited, however the crumbled root is used as a flavor in the food industry (spicy) and as yellow dye. |
Method of Administration | The plant is administered as healing and sedative in the form of herbal tea (2 spoons of dried herb in a cup of boiled water, 2-3 times a day), in folk medicine Warning: The use of herb preparations is not recommended without seeking advice from your physician or pharmacist.
