Pharmacological Effects - Therapeutic Applications | In folk medicine the plant is administered in the form of herbal tea for the treatment of cough, inflammations in genitals and seizures. It is applied externally in the form of poultice to heal the wounds, as well as antibiotic (Improper use). In many European countries the plant is used in cooking instead of 'saffron', while in the past it has been used as ingredient in hair dyes. |
