Distinguishing Features of the Plant Pulsatilla vulgaris is a perennial plant growing from 10 to 20cm, with silky, pinnate, silver leaves and large, violet flowers with gold stamens and serrated petals. The flowering and the harvesting take place from March to May.

Pharmacological Effects - Therapeutic Applications The plant extract is used as sudorific, diuretic, antispasmodic and irritating. It is recommended for the treatment of various eyes diseases, earache, stress, anxiety, leucorrhoea, bronchitis, cough and asthma. It is applied externally to the skin as sedative for the treatment of rashes and wounds.
Method of Administration It is administered as antidepressant in the form of tincture (1:10 parts of dried herb and ethyl alcohol, 2-3 drops in water, 4 times a day) and plant extract (wetting a quantity of dried plant in a cup of boiled water for 15min, 1-2 times daily)
